Maternity shoots are done around Melbourne closer to sunset for a beautiful sun glow in your images.

When booking your pregnancy shoot, lots of details will be provided to prepare for your session.

Few things to decide: When to have your session, where to have your maternity photoshoot and what is everyone wearing for your images.

When to have your pregnancy photoshoot?

The best time to have your pregnancy shoot is from 32 weeks– the start of your third trimester. When your belly is showing nicely and you have that beautiful pregnancy glow. You still have anergy to move around as well.

Where around Melbourne can you have your portrait session?

It really depends on what type of scenery you are wanting in your images. Melbourne has many beautiful spots around. There a local spots but also location around the Mornington Peninsula or The Dandenongs. Various location can be found here. If there is no spots that speak to you, I’m happy to travel to another area for your maternity photoshoot around Melbourne.

What to wear for your maternity session around Melbourne?

For the what to wear, this will discussed during your consultation.

I have a dress collection for my mums that can be found here. The dresses are bump friendly that will generally suit my pregnant mums.

Studio pregnancy photoshoot with beautiful women in my Endeavour Hills studio capturing their belly bumps.

Maternity photos are best done from 32 weeks onwards. It is a beautiful time when you are feeling that pregnancy glow without being too tired.

Something about photographing your pregnancy in studio that makes it intimate. It is a safe space to show as much skin as my clients wants or just capturing the love of their pregnancy.

Showing your pregnant belly in your images

Clients can have beautiful pregnancy shots in the studio showing their naked belly bumps comfortably.

The belly can be photographed by wearing a beautiful lace kimono or an open wrap dress complimented with supportive fine lace lingerie.

Capturing your pregnancy with love

Studio pregnancy photoshoots can also be done with your family- Dad-to-be and all your children. The photoshoot is full of fun. It is done with love and intimacy between all the members of your family. Posing and guidance will also be given through out the photoshoot to achieve your precious shots. My studio is your safe space to capture these precious moments.

A woman’s body constantly change through out pregnancy. Being on the other side of the lens can be daunting, feeling vulnerable. That is why connection, intimacy and trust is very important. PREGNANCY MEMORIES

Pregnancy memories with this sweet couple in the cliff of The Mornington Peninsula.

These guys live in the heart of Melbourne CBD. S convinced hubby to drive down to the magical place, a little bit further away but worth the drive. It is special moment as it is their first child.

It is a breathtaking place with a glorious weather and a beautiful sunset. H loved the open space so much he went an explore down the coast and the beach while I was taking photos of S’s bump. The look of amazement on his face was just priceless.

I’m glad they decided to go to a location they wanted for them to look back and be able to still be in love with the images years later. I sometimes get clients give me the choice to select the location for their shoot. However, I’m finding it really hard for me to choose because all the locations are amazing. But most of all, they are your images, your maternity moments, precious moments I want my clients to cherish forever with a location they love!

Victoria is a wonderful place and have heaps of hidden treasures to go to explore and photograph your pregnancy. I will guide you to choose your location.

I had a wonderful time photographing this special time for S & H as it is their first pregnancy.

DOCUMENTING YOUR PRECIOUS MOMENTS WHEN YOU ARE CAMERA SHY

Documenting your precious moments is still important but you are camera shy?

I often get: “We are really awkward in front of the camera” , “I don’t know how to pose”. Or ” We don’t know what to do”.
And I get it, being on the other side of the camera can be really daunting, especially in front of a photographer you just met.

It can also feel really awkward and vulnerable, especially when your body is changing while growing a baby inside you.
However take a leaf of faith creating special moments because these are very special time.

Creating that safe place starts from the the initial contact with me to book your photography session.
The process run smoothly before the session, and also provide communication and guidance to help with “what to wear” during your session.
B is also wearing couple dresses from my collections mothers can use during their session. You can find the collection here.

Arriving on location, I love to chat with my clients. I can get to know you better on our little walk until we arrive at destination.
I provide a lot of prompts and guidance with the posing, what to do to get the most natural authentic love and connection in your images.
My clients may feel awkward but giving them guidance provide confidence and make the session really fun and relaxed.

There are certain poses that work best: the ones you are not looking into the camera but to interact with one another. That’s when my prompts come in.
I will have one or two images where I will get everyone look into camera, because Nana likes these shots.
But for the rest of the session, I will give you guidance and prompts to have magical images lie the one of B & B expecting their first child.

A pregnancy shoot in studio with love and fun with a beautiful couple soon to welcome their baby girl.

I love capturing my couple’s maternity journey in my studio. Especially when we are in autumn/winter when this year has been a bit different due to Covid-19.

I have a safe space to capture your precious moments. It has a great natural light to complement the connection and intimacy my couple have.

It can be a bit intimidating to be in front of the camera. However, I provide a lot of prompts and guidance to make your session stress free. But also for you to have a wonderful experience.

For your photo session, I have a variety of dresses my expecting mums and mum can wear for their sessions. The dress can be selected once you arrive for your shoot. And M is wearing couple dresses from the collection.

PREGNANCY PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE WOODS OF WARBURTON

Pregnancy photography in the woods of Warburton with these guys.

This session was help pre Covid 19 lockdown. Little did we know what was about to happen. However, it was full of fun, love and stress free with these two parents to be.

During my session, I give a lot of prompts and guidance to get the best emotions and connections between my couple. These guys were just natural and made their maternity session just smooth-less. With a beautiful gallery of images to cherish their precious moment.

The best time to do your maternity session is from 32 weeks when you have a nice round belly. And on location sessions are about 1.5 hours before sunset. Except this beautiful location in the wood, your session would be held a bit earlier for better sunlight through the beautiful red trees.

Wishing these guys all the best for the safe arrival of their baby and their wonderful journey as parents.

Beach Maternity Photo Session In Seaford with this couple soon to be parents.

These guys are expecting their first child, a baby girl. It is a very exciting special milestone in their lives. Photographing their pregnancy with a maternity portrait session on the beach of Seaford.

My maternity sessions on location are closer to sunset for a beautiful sunset evening glow in your images. The best time to photograph your expecting belly is from 32 weeks gestation, with a nice round belly.

My portrait sessions are fun, I will give you lots of prompts and guidance throughout your session. Your images will be full of love and emotions. These guys were just natural and comfortable. It made my job easy to capture them before the arrival of their baby girl. I wish them all the best for their new chapter as parents.

What If It Rains For Your Photo Session

WHAT IF IT RAINS FOR YOUR PHOTO SESSION

What if it rains for your photo session? We reschedule, or we wait and see.

I monitor the weather really closely about a week before your session. BOM is usually accurate however Melbourne weather is always unpredictable.

For this maternity photoshoot, the weather was looking very unpredictable but we still went away as K could reschedule her session.

So we made the call to make K & C’s maternity session a little bit earlier as the sky was grey and hovering us. The rain was about to come. And lucky we did make it earlier that evening.

Overcast evenings are just as beautiful as glowing sunset evenings. The sky is just beautiful full of contrast, in the background of your images.

Little C made mummy and daddy’s maternity session very entertaining!

And he did really well considering we got the rain at the end of their maternity session but luckily we were protected under the pier.
