Maternity shoots are done around Melbourne closer to sunset for a beautiful sun glow in your images.

When booking your pregnancy shoot, lots of details will be provided to prepare for your session.

Few things to decide: When to have your session, where to have your maternity photoshoot and what is everyone wearing for your images.

When to have your pregnancy photoshoot?

The best time to have your pregnancy shoot is from 32 weeks– the start of your third trimester. When your belly is showing nicely and you have that beautiful pregnancy glow. You still have anergy to move around as well.

Where around Melbourne can you have your portrait session?

It really depends on what type of scenery you are wanting in your images. Melbourne has many beautiful spots around. There a local spots but also location around the Mornington Peninsula or The Dandenongs. Various location can be found here. If there is no spots that speak to you, I’m happy to travel to another area for your maternity photoshoot around Melbourne.

What to wear for your maternity session around Melbourne?

I have a dress collection for my mums that can be found here. The dresses are bump friendly that will generally suit my pregnant mums.

A lifestyle maternity photoshoot is a beautiful and relax style to capture your pregnancy. Photoshoots are stress free, relaxed and heaps of fun. Lots of prompts and guidance will be provided from the start to the end of your photoshoot experience. I strive for clients to have the best experience they deserve.

Why having lifestyle maternity photos?

Being on the other side of the lens can be very daunting, especially when you haven’t met the photographer. Maternity photos aren’t for everyone. Women are in a vulnerable place while the body is changing every week. However that pregnancy glow is a beautiful feeling to photograph in a lifestyle way- with genuine emotions in your images. It is a wonderful journey between you and your family. These moments are beautiful memories to capture, to look back remembering your journey to parenthood. You won’t regret it.

What to expect from the maternity session?

Clients often say that they are awkward in front of the camera or not knowing how to pose. Your maternity session will be very lifestyle, natural, authentic but also relaxed and fun. It is not all portrait posy looking straight to the camera (although grand-ma prefers when everyone is looking into the camera). These prompts are very natural. This lifestyle way to photograph your pregnancy is very much posing behind the unposed.

Where should we document maternity session?

Your pregnancy would be capture as an authentic story at an outdoor location to see your story unfold with precious details. For outdoor locations, I have a variety of spots between The Dandenongs, The Peninsula or few little local spots if you don’t want to travel too far. It really depends the type of scenery you are wanting in your images. This will be discuss further during your consultation to prep for your lifestyle maternity session.

PREGNANCY MEMORIES

Pregnancy memories with this sweet couple in the cliff of The Mornington Peninsula.

These guys live in the heart of Melbourne CBD. S convinced hubby to drive down to the magical place, a little bit further away but worth the drive. It is special moment as it is their first child.

It is a breathtaking place with a glorious weather and a beautiful sunset. H loved the open space so much he went an explore down the coast and the beach while I was taking photos of S’s bump. The look of amazement on his face was just priceless.

I’m glad they decided to go to a location they wanted for them to look back and be able to still be in love with the images years later. I sometimes get clients give me the choice to select the location for their shoot. However, I’m finding it really hard for me to choose because all the locations are amazing. But most of all, they are your images, your maternity moments, precious moments I want my clients to cherish forever with a location they love!

Victoria is a wonderful place and have heaps of hidden treasures to go to explore and photograph your pregnancy. I will guide you to choose your location.

I had a wonderful time photographing this special time for S & H as it is their first pregnancy.

NATURAL FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE DANDENONG RANGES

Natural family photography for these beautiful people in a beautiful location in The Dandenong Ranges.

I started photography as a portrait photographer. Soon to realise not long after that kids would not sit tight to smile straight to the camera. It was too stressful for the parents and also too much pressure on the children.

Natural photography, lifestyle photography was a game changer for me. It was the style of photography I wanted to pursue. Capturing natural, genuine emotion and connection with my families.

Hubbies/partners/dads don’t feel so out of place when they get told that they don’t look straight into the camera, but looking at their loved ones. The kids are having a great time doing what to know best; running, exploring and having fun. And mums are HAPPY! And at the end of the session, everybody is relaxed and has heaps of fun during their photography session.

I captured T and her family in the beautiful forest of the Dandenongs. Little Miss S did really well for her family session. She loves to pose, smile and to have fun at the same time. Remembering her as TWO before her third birthday.

In Studio Pregnancy Photoshoot

IN STUDIO PREGNANCY PHOTOSHOOT

In studio pregnancy photoshoot with this beautiful mama to be.

B is 33 weeks pregnant. She came in my Endeavour Hills based studio, to capture her precious belly bump.

We also played dress up with all the dresses and outfits available to all my mums to wear during their pregnancy sessions. Mums can found most of the dresses from the collection here.

My studio has a beautiful natural light in there. And it is my precious place. It is a safe and intimate space to be up close and personal to photograph your belly. You will have genuine, authentic emotions and connection in your images.

Getting images done can be intimidating. However, you will get prompts and guidance on how to pose, to get the most beautiful memories captured of your maternity.

Natural Family Portrait For His Fourth Birthday

NATURAL FAMILY PORTRAIT FOR HIS FOURTH BIRTHDAY

This family is celebrating their little spunk’s 4rd birthday with a natural family portrait at Lysterfield Lake.

J & J run The Sweatshop and Nutrition Fitness in Hallam. A great gym to go exercise and learn about nutrition and. lifestyle habits. They really make you feel comfortable in your fitness and health journey and have such a great support from them and a great community of people. Come check them out.

Every year, J & J have had professional photos done every year to capture their little spunk boy. What a sweet way to see their little man grow. Little J is obsessed about adventures and dinosaurs! Therefore the lake was just a perfect location for their fourth family session.

I strive for a great experience for my families from start to finish. My sessions are fun with timeless, natural and beautiful photos families will cherish forever. I provide lots of guidance and prompts to my families for them to bring out the most authentic, natural emotions and connections they have.

My on-location family sessions are done about 1.5 hours before sunset for a soft sunset glow in your images. I have a variety spots around Melbourne we can have your session. We can discuss if further during your consultation.

Bump to Baby Photography

BUMP TO BABY PHOTOGRAPHY

Bump to baby photography with this beautiful family to be.

A journey to parenthood photographed from their pregnancy to their newborn portrait session. It is also a special to me as I get to witness these precious time for a family to welcome their new bundle to joy in the world.

S & C’s bump photography was done at 34 weeks gestation. It was just on time as our lockdown restriction from Covid19 just eased few days before the session.

S is was wearing a beautiful Hazel and Folk dress and also a Coven and Co dress to complement her baby bump on the beach of Williamstown.

It was a fun and relaxed belly session on the beach. I was excited as they were my first session since coming out of lockdown.

For the newborn session, we can organise a day once parents can get in touch once settled with baby.

Babies captured between 5-10 days old are best for curly and sleepy images.

Older babies are more alert, they can still be resettled to sleep however you will have more awake images in our gallery.

My newborn images are natural and timeless. It is are mainly about capturing the beautiful connection with your new baby.

I love capturing these special times for my clients.

PREGNANCY IMAGES DOWN THE MORNINGTON PENINSULA

Pregnancy images with love down The Mornington Peninsula with these two love birds.

After getting referred to me, L originally contacted me to photograph her pregnancy during the first lockdown. And her maternity session was organised as soon as the restrictions were lifted. After a few days of rain, it was a bit muddy but we had a beautiful winter sunset session that night. However it does get cold as soon as the sun goes down.

Maternity sessions are best captured from 32 weeks gestation. This is generally when expecting mum are still feeling energetic and a beautiful round belly. L was wearing a beautiful Spell dress to complement her baby bump.

My maternity sessions are very relaxed and fun. I love capturing the emotions and the connection between my couples, love birds and soon to be parents.

L & F are very fun and calm couple. And I’m looking forward to meet their baby. Boy or girl? Will soon found out 🙂

Family Lifestyle Session

FAMILY LIFESTYLE SESSION DOWN THE MORNINGTON PENINSULA

Family lifestyle session down the Mornington Peninsula with these guys.

And everything was perfect. From the location down the beach, to them as a family having their wardrobe on point with my styling inspo from my pinterest boards.

S wanted to photograph her family with her 2 children before they grow way too quick into their teenage years. And this is only around the corner in a couple years. She wanted precious memories of them still little. And also wanted to be in these images with her family.

As mums, we are always too busy making sure our babies are ok. We are the ones taking photos of them in their everyday lives or their milestones and often with their dads. Mums are never in the photos. And looking back in precious memories they have, mummies are never too often in the photos.

So S wanted to take the opportunity to photograph her complete family. And they will have beautiful lifestyle images of them to cherish forever.

This session got rescheduled due to our terrible bushfire smoke we had earlier in the year. So we jumped on the next best day of the week with a beautiful sunny day on the beach. And although we didn’t have a beautiful sunset and a bit of rain, we still had a wonderful time for precious photos.
