This newborn session was gifted by B’s mum for A & B who were reluctant to have a newborn shoot but I’m glad they decided to go ahead.

Baby A arrived a few week early and was tiny. He was a couple months old when he came in the studio. He didn’t want to miss a thing during his shoot. So sleeping wasn’t on the card. However, they had a really relaxed time in the studio.

If your newborn baby doesn’t want to sleep during his/her portrait session, they will be captured awake. Which it is just as cute as sleepy shots.

Often, babies older than 7 days old won’t often go back to sleep straight after a feed. They are more awake, alert and smiling. So a lot of cuddles with mummy and daddy to comfort them.  They are also not as flexible so posing them is a bit more difficult.

I  capture them just the way they are. Interacting with their parents, smiling, talking baby language. My sessions are fun and stress free. And they generally for about 2 -3 hours if they don’t fuss during their photoshoot.

A’s dress is a part of my client’s wardrobe. Mums can pick their dresses on the day of the shoot, once they arrive in the studio. You can see the different dresses on option in on of my blog post here.
